Ways to Participate
Pick Your Level
Not everyone has the same time or energy to give, and that is fine. With the primary behind us and the November election ahead, here are three ways to plug in, from the smallest to the most involved.
Show Up
The lowest-lift way in, and a real one. Showing up tells your neighbors they are not in this alone, and it is how most people find their way to the rest.
- Join the June 14 No Kings day of action
- Come to a weekly meeting
- Meet us June 20 at the gathering in the park
- Sign and share a petition
- Bring a friend to an event
Take Action
Five to twenty minutes, from your phone or computer. Constituent calls and emails are among the most effective tools we have.
- Call your representative (5 min)
- Email Congress using our scripts
- Join a phone bank for the fall races
- Write a letter to the editor
- Sign up for action alerts
Help Organize
We are a small group and we want to grow. Every skill is useful: design, logistics, research, outreach, or showing up reliably and often.
- Help plan and run events
- Take on voter contact for CA-48
- Handle outreach or social media
- Research bills and local issues
- Take on a recurring role on the team
Why Now
The fall is going to ask something of us
Between now and November 3, the chapter is organizing toward the races still in reach, among them the redrawn 48th Congressional District, which now takes in Palm Springs and could help decide control of the House. We are planning the summer around steady, repeatable work: phone banks, postcard nights, and canvass weekends. The more of us who sign up now, the more we can take on. Tell us a little about yourself below, and we will find the right place for what you have to give.
