The work that decides the House starts now
After Proposition 50 redrew the map, the 48th Congressional District now stretches from the San Diego suburbs into Palm Springs and Indian Wells, and its registration leans Democratic by about ten points. The June 2 primary set the matchup: Marni von Wilpert (D) against Jim Desmond (R). It is one of a handful of seats that could decide control of Congress, and we are hoping to put West Hollywood and Fairfax volunteers to work on it through the fall.
